Notification Control
I created this suggestion in the forum, but I thought I echo the same info here for others to enter their vote.

Recently, the Telerik ASP.Net Ajax released their Q2 with a nice & powerful "Notification" control. This control can be very useful with 3 tier apps using pure Ajax to notify actions that take place on the server or web service. I suggest to consider this control for future development.

This is a very nice feature to have. The implementation of notifications using long polling, signalR and other techniques is quite complicated. Also notification apis are not supported by all browsers (Chrome is the pioneer). We hope we will have such a feature by Kendo Q1 2014.

Hi Guys. With everything being very async in the UI these days this really should be a built-in framework feature. You've been considering this feature since 2011. There are tons of plugins and the like out there that do this (growl-type) feature. One of the biggest reasons I love using KendoUI is that I don't get plugin-soup... just about everything I need is in there. But, this is one quite common feature that is missing, forcing me to roll-my-own or use a plugin. Please make a decision to finally include this in the framework.

I was just about to submit this idea.. good to see great minds think alike :)

Notifications are a super basic feature to have in web apps, even for simple things like confirming that an action took place. Some popular jQuery notification plugins:

Thank you for the proposal. We will consider including notification widget for a future version of Kendo UI.
